We’re performing at this event to support Katelyn Pool in her mission to help other Diabetic Children receive Insulin Pumps.100% profits goes to the children.Let’s get this thing moving!
Here is a little information about what Katelyn (9 yrs old) has in mind, this whole event was her idea….. Katelyn, mom is very proud of you!!! You are my hero! Stay strong and keep fighting the battle! I love you!!!!! Mission Hi my name is Katelyn Pool, I am 9 years old. Three years ago I found out that I have Type 1 Diabetes. My life changed that day! My whole way of thinking and eating changed. I used to have to take shots 10 times a day and prick my finger 10 plus times a day, but now I have an Insulin Pump, which helps monitor my blood sugars and helps me stay feeling good. I change my hook-up site once every 3 days, which means I don’t have to take all of those shots anymore. I still prick my finger, but not as much. I want to help other kids be able to get the insulin pump. Not all insurance companies cover the pump, so not all kids can afford them. I also want every diabetic kid to be able to go to Diabetic Camp, it is expensive, but I know we can help them out. 51 Aces has become my big brothers, they have helped me with my cause and I am so happy that we have teamed up, and together we are going to help other kids live better lives. I want to tell you about my foundation called 51 Aces and Katelyn Pool, “Pool Pump it up for Diabetic Kids” .We want to help other diabetic kids get a pump so they wont have to prik there fingers or have to take alot of shots during the day. These pumps cost alot of money, they are $9,000 each. There alot of kids out there who cant afford pumps and need to get one. I hope to raise money to buy 5 pumps this year. One way we want to do this is by recycling bottles and cans, which will also help our earth and start collecting pennies for pumps. I hope that all of you will help us.
